When the first Presidential Debate aired live I deliberately did not watch it. For numerous reasons, I wanted to stay clear of the politics. I was disinterested but not God. He is always concerned about the affairs of the land.
On July 17, 2024, I finally decided to watch the debate. What I observed left me deeply concerned. Surely the nation could produce better candidates. I liked the bravado and many of the principles and policies of former President Donald Trump but his pride and arrogance were a turnoff. President Biden had me worried for him. Something was wrong with him. I am no medical doctor but I felt he was suffering from more than fatigue.
I watched but didn’t pray for an understanding of God’s heart about the elections. As I said, I wanted nothing to do with this election. Later that night God changed my viewpoint. He spoke to me through a dream about President Donald Trump.
A Long Journey To Trump
I dreamt the Lord gave me a message to deliver to former President Donald Trump. I knew delivering it wouldn’t be easy. The journey would be very long, hard, and dangerous. So I gathered several friends to accompany me. They did not disappoint. Many of them answered. They all came in spanking new white SUVs and sedan cars. I couldn’t help but notice that they all wore long white loose-fitting clothes. BTW, they were all males.
I greeted them and immediately drove off. The support was more than welcomed but I was not about to wait. They had to keep up. Quickly delivering the message was of the highest priority.
The road was narrow and winding with only two lanes for traffic to flow in either direction. Very high peaks and deep descends marked the way. As my car went down a steep slope it malfunctioned and stopped. Smoke came from the engine. I was about to pop the hood and check the engine when I changed my mind. That would only delay me.

Thankfully one of my friends caught up with me. I quickly got into his car and we drove off. Soon after we arrived at the destination. Many people were inside the Conference Center where President Trump was scheduled to speak. Lots of security guards stood around the building entrance.
We waited a little while before former President Trump came out to speak with us. My friend told him what God had said to me. He thanked us, nodded, and began walking back into the building. I caught up with him and spoke further about what God had said. He patiently and calmly listened. Thanked me, then went inside.
What God Said
Immediately after waking I prayed for God to give me understanding of the dream. This is the understanding I got.
God is about to vindicate the prophets. There is a lesson that the body of Christ will learn. Do not give up when you seem to have failed.
God is able to restore you. Be bold and stand tall. Take your stance for the word of God and do not shift or move from it when you know God has spoken.
Do not be political. Be about your Father’s business. You are called to serve the Master. Not an individual politician. Donald Trump is but a mere man. God has chosen to use him. Yet he is with flaws. He is not perfect.
He will be a man who unites and repairs the nation. He will secure its borders from its enemies and forge peace. A time of reform will come to the nation. The heart of the people will be turned to God.
Riots will be on the streets. Enemies of God will demand an overthrow. Their voices will not be heard. Their protests will be scattered.
America will be saved. Witches will be silenced. The church must take its stance for God. You are needed in this test of fire. The nation needs a united body of Christ.
My Confession
For a very long time, I did not care for Donald Trump. He spoke rashly and arrogantly. I was offended when he spoke about the illegal immigrants being criminals and responsible for most of the crimes in the United States. When he called poorer countries S**h**e countries. That was very insulting. I am Jamaican. One of those countries he counted was dragging down the world. I agree there are problems with some of the nations. Something needs to be done to fix those problems but he could have been diplomatic and genuinely sensitive when he spoke. As the head of the most powerful nation in the world, Trump had tremendous power. His incendiary remarks could stir people to violence. He needed to be more mindful of what he said.
Despite my feelings, I prayed for him. The Bible tells us to pray for our leaders. I would not allow offense to rest in my heart. God also dealt with me. On many occasions, God gave me dreams and visions about President Trump. When God gives me a vision or dream, I observe everything in the dream. Most of what is shown is symbolic. One consistent symbol I saw in these visions was Donald Trump with pure golden hair on his head. I knew that meant he was honorable. His thoughts and intentions were good. Moreover, he feared and honored God.
God did not skim on Trump’s faults. On one occasion the Holy Spirit said He gave the people a King that reflected their hearts. Donald Trump’s pride and arrogance reflected the heart of the majority of the population. He was chosen not because he was perfect. God chose him because of his heart. His mouth needed work, but his heart was right towards God.
The Lord also made me aware that Trump had gone through a humbling like Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 4). God allowed the intense persecution to humble him. His character was assassinated. He suffered the greatest persecution of any public official and President in the history of the United States of America to humble him.
James 4:6
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:
“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”
Like Nebuchadnezzar who had his throne and prestige removed for a moment. By the decree of the Watchers, he was brought low. However, God preserved his kingdom. When he understood that God was real. He humbled himself and gave the great God of Heaven and Earth praise and worship. God gave him back the throne of Babylon. God is about to reestablish Donald Trump to the throne of the United States of America.
The saints must be a check and balance for his pride and arrogance. Through patience, love, and consistent prayer we will see the work of God done through him and he doesn’t become a castaway. God does not mercilessly use and dispose of people. His desire is always that those who serve His will be saved.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.
