Pray About The Purchase of Wigs

God cares about every detail of your life. Even the small things. Last month He gave me this warning for my wife and other believers. If are male or female and you add hair to your head this concerns you.

“Every wig worn must be approved by God. You cannot simply purchase because you love them. You must never purchase a wig and wear it immediately.

Each wig approved by God must be washed, anointed and prayed over before they are worn.

Many of the wigs being received are part of sacrifices to gods. Buddhists are currently doing it but there will be more wigs that are sold by witches. They will create them and attach demons to them.

God will show you a Christian person who makes the wigs. Buy from that person.”

We know that the majority of wigs sold are safe to wear. That has led people to wear them for the aesthetics they provide. Some people feel more confident and attractive when they wear a wig. Especially those who may have lost their hair from an illness. There is no condemnation for that.

God wants you to be aware of the evils that are behind this multibillion dollar industry. One evil practice is sourcing the hair for the wigs from temples where people offer their hair as a sacrifice to their gods. The majority of hair comes from India and other nations where people sacrifice their hair to receive good fortune, healing, marriage, healing, wealth, and many other things. Many news agencies such as the BBC News, Indian Times, African Television programs and documentaries have reported that this is quite common. Especially during certain festivals. Hair is also harvested from the grave of the dead. Some of the hair come from witches and warlocks who offer their hair as a sacrifice to release curses in the lives of people.

The Bible warns us against bringing something offered to idols, who are demons, into our home.

Deuteronomy 7:26

Neither shall you bring an abomination (an idol) into your house, lest you become an accursed thing like it; but you shall utterly detest and abhor it, for it is an accursed thing.

(Also see Exodus 20:4-6; Deuteronomy 5:8-10; Isaiah 44:9-11)

What are the consequences of disobeying this rule?

  1. Defilement;
  2. Your home becoming cursed causing financial hardship, mental and emotional problems, and misfortunes;
  3. Torment from demons;
  4. Powerlessness to stand against these demons and your enemy;
  5. Possibly death;
  6. Abandonment by God.

We see one consequence of the curse playing out in Joshua 7. God led Israel in war to conquer the Promised Land. They were winning. Enemies stronger, bigger and better than them in the art of war were being defeated. That changed the moment one family took objects devoted to idols into their home. Israel suffered a great humiliating defeat from the weakest and smallest army that a handful of their weakest soldiers would have easily defeated. Victory was won after they got rid of the objects and removed the family from among them.

Joshua 7

1 But the Israelites committed a trespass in regard to the devoted things; for Achan son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of the things devoted [for destruction]. And the anger of the Lord burned against Israel.

2 Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is near Beth-aven, east of Bethel, and said to them, Go up and spy out the land. So the men went up and spied out Ai.

3 And they returned to Joshua and said to him, Let not all the men go up; but let about two thousand or three thousand go up and attack Ai; do not make the whole army toil up there, for they of Ai are few.

4 So about three thousand Israelites went up there, but they fled before the men of Ai.

5 And the men of Ai killed about thirty-six of them, for they chased them from before the gate as far as Shebarim, and slew them at the descent. And the hearts of the people melted and became as water.

In 2019 we were prideful and foolish to think purchasing a bed from someone who worshiped a false god would not harm us. We were newly married and needed to furnish our new home. God gave us one rule. Always consult Him before purchasing any furniture. We had purchased some household items from a Hindu neighbor with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and had no problems. This time we were so elated by the very, very low price that we rushed to make the purchase without consulting God. When we brought it into our home things started happening. I was unable to sleep at night. Prayer became difficult. The glory of God left our prayer room. We were having supernatural encounters during times of prayers. A heavy weight of glory would fill the room, sometimes we had trances or be very aware of the presence of angels. Very slowly every thing changed. Prayer became a struggle. The glory was no longer there. We heard God but it now felt like we were fighting to break through a barrier. Quarrels became more frequent between us. I also had  tremendous difficulty focusing, felt depressed and confused during the day. Release only came when I was ministering or teaching believers. All this was happening but I rationalized it away to challenges of being newly married, operating with a very little income and just needing to seek God more. We were already fasting weekly and praying for hours every day but I thought perhaps God wanted more. Stupid me. Months later I had several massive strokes on a Sunday evening. I fainted when the first stroke hit my body. The left half of my body was paralyzed and I was temporarily blinded. My wife and a friend who was visiting had to help me get up off the floor. My wife wanted to take me to the Emergency immediately but I refused. I gathered all my strength and began warring against the enemy. After fervently praying in other tongues for almost an hour, while rebuking all symptoms, my sight, some strength and mobility came back. I continued doing this for two weeks before God told me to go to the Laundromat. While there He told me to listen to a church service. The power of God came on me and I spent three hours praying in tongues and worshiping. During this time God completely healed me. Several times after I woke up and the left side of my body was numb. One night I woke up to see a small demon stabbing my left leg with a sharp instrument. It disappeared as soon as I rebuked him. These attacks continued for weeks. Some nights I dreamt or felt a presence in our bed. Several nights I had to pray for the entire night to get any release. Everything stopped when I finally asked God what was causing the attacks. The moment He told me it was the bed, I hauled it out of the house and destroyed it. Then re-consecrated our house. From that day there have been no more attacks.

The examples given above show what happens when we bring something that is cursed into our home. The same spiritual principle applies to defiled wigs. Things devoted to God will release the power of God. You will receive a blessing when that comes into your life. We see this in the scripture when Paul tied small pieces of cloth on his clothes. When he gave them out. The people who received them got healed. Demons were also driven out. (see Acts 19:12). The opposite happens with demonic objects. The power of the kingdom of darkness comes against you to cause harm. Jesus said Satan only comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Demons, his army, carry out that agenda.

God wants the best for you. Brothers and sisters please be prayerful about the purchase of wigs.

Selah!

John 10:10

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it [a]overflows).

Acts 19:12

12 So that handkerchiefs or towels or aprons which had touched his skin were carried away and put upon the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.
