On Saturday morning my wife and I were having a glorious time in the Lord. We worshipped and basked in the Presence of God for some time then started talking about the nature of animals. I commented that I first thought that people were changing the nature of dogs when they made them so docile that they lived in perfect harmony with cats, cows, horses and other animals. One major shocker for me was seeing a cat that had recently given birth to a litter of kittens allow a dog to play with the kittens. As I was speaking the Holy Spirit said that is their true nature. The aggression shown by most dogs you encountered while in growing up in Jamaica resulted from the owners forcing them to be like that. The training left them with that way of operating. That was not so in the garden of Eden. They became aggressive when nature when sin came into the earth. He then reminded me that Isaiah prophesied that as the glory of God covers the earth the animals will be restored to their true nature. We were talking about the revelation, then concluded that we need to trust God far more.
Suddenly she mentioned that trusting Him should be like the team building exercises done in training where someone stands behind you and you fall in their arms.
“That is is how we must trust him. We must do the same with the Holy Spirit.”
We both agreed this should be an exercise that we use to teach people trust and absolute surrender to the Holy Spirit.
Without thinking I said, “let’s do it! Right now. Let’s do it!”
“Expect that as you fall the Holy Spirit’s presence will come upon you. Hands do not have to be laid on you. Just expect it to happen. Trust Him to respond.”
I stood behind her as she fell back into my arms. As she did, the presence of God immediately came on her. God had instantly responded to our act of faith. The presence was so strong that it almost knocked me to my feet. My body shook as I restrain myself to safely place her on the ground.
Babe stayed there for several minutes laughing, speaking in tongues and just being refreshed by the Holy Spirit. It was so wonderful to see the peace and joy of the Holy Spirit overtake her. I could feel a strong presence of God on her. Even when she attempted to get up the Holy Spirit said He was not finished. For more than 45 minutes she laid there as the Holy Spirit ministered to her.
A few minutes later as we talked about the experience she saw a commotion outside. A Pitbull seemed to be attacking a neighbor. I quickly went outside to find outside to intervene. Thankfully a lady came up behind him and grabbed him in the collar. At that the dog relaxed a bit. She spoke gently to him and he heeded. The police were called. Then they filled me in on what was happening. The dog was loose in the neighborhood. It did not belong to a resident. While we waited on the police, I invited her to come and stand in the shade of a tree located before our apartment.
When she standing before my door, my wife came out to determine what was happening. Other neighbors left their apartment and came to see what was happening. At the sight of so many people, the Pitbull became very agitated. His body posture began to show signs of increased aggression. Its eyes became blood red. Before I could move towards it. My wife walked over and gently placed her hand on his head.
“Good boy. It’s Okay” She said softly.
Instantly the Pitbull calmed down. His eyes became white. Every aggression left him.
After the issue was resolved my wife said the Holy Spirit told her to release the anointing on the dog to deliver him from the spirit of rage. There was no visible sign of the spirit leaving the dog. Immediately as she placed her hand on his head he became calm, stopped moving and laid down in complete submission.
The Lesson:
What we witnessed was God confirming the word spoken through Prophet Isaiah. As God’s glory fills the earth the true nature of the animals will be seen. Predators will no longer kill. They will not harm anyone. This is a sign of the outpouring of God’s spirit on all mankind, as Joel prophesied.
Do not lose hope or be anxious because of the evil you see in the earth. There will be war and rumors of war. There will be massive upheavals occurring in various places. The Bible says men will loose heart in the last days because of the things that will come upon the earth. You must not allow yourself to give in to what you see happening. You hope is in the promise of God. He will restore everything in his time. Also know that His plan includes you.
Keep your on King Jesus. Do your part to release the glory of God on the earth. God will renew and restore the earth. This is the blessed hope we have in Him.
Trust in Him with all your heart. Lean not to your own understanding. In the face of danger be sure to stir up the gift that is in you. Listen to the still small voice of God. Act in obedience. You will change the atmosphere around you. People and animals will see tremendous change in their life.
Isaiah 11:5-9
Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins. The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
Habakuk 2:14
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
